Dr. Nicole Syngajewski is a north shore native, born and raised in the Everett, MA area. She earned her Bachelor’s Degree in biology, with a minor in psychology from the University of Massachusetts – Boston. Throughout her undergraduate career, she owned a multitude of pets, including rats, poison dart frogs, bearded dragons, a hedgehog, and cats. Her classmates told her repeatedly that she should be a veterinarian, with such a strong love for animals. Upon graduation, she worked as a veterinary technician in a small animal general practice for four years before deciding to apply for veterinary school. Dr. Syngajewski graduated from Ross University’s School of Veterinary Medicine after completing her clinical year at the University of Illinois. Returning “home,” Dr. Syngajewski practiced veterinary medicine as a medical director in Whitman and Hanson, MA for 3 years before spending a year at a small animal general practice with a focus in exotic companion pets in Littleton, MA. Dr. Syngajewski is excited to join the small animal team here at SRH in December 2018, bringing a passion for exotic animal medicine, acupuncture, canine/feline dentistry, and dermatology. She shares her home with her “island hitchhikers,” a “coconut retriever” (Liamuiga) and a calico cat (Reese), as well as several tropical fish and two axolotls (Nashoba and Napa). In her spare time, Dr. Syngajewski enjoys reading, playing video games, and traveling.
